Balloo Hire make IT investment

06 June 2011
Belfast IT Company, CMI has secured the contract to provide managed IT support and an IT infrastructure upgrade to Balloo Hire, Northern Ireland’s leading provider of specialist plant, tool and equipment hire.
The deal valued at over £100k marks the end of a strong financial year for CMI who saw a significant growth in profit from the previous year. The performance has been achieved against a challenging backdrop, which saw SME spending in Northern Ireland decline throughout 2010.
Speaking on the new business win, Ken Roulston, Joint Managing Director of CMI says:
“Although showing signs of recovery, 2010 remained a challenging year for the local economy. However, through building relationships with our customers and investing in staff and technology, we have been able to create value by delivering high-quality service which has enabled us to further strengthen our market position and continue to grow and win new business. We are delighted to have been appointed the IT service provider for Balloo Hire and look forward to supporting them and their IT needs as they continue to grow and expand in the market.”
Welcoming the partnership, Paul Lavery, Managing Director of Balloo Hire says:
“We decided to appoint CMI as our IT service provider as they had a strong track record in supporting multi-site businesses such as our own, and demonstrated not only a high level of technical and support skills but also a real understanding of our business needs.”
CMI will provide Balloo Hire with a virtualised server environment which will improve performance, reliability and security for all Balloo’s users across its four locations.
Established in 2009, CMI employs 25 staff at their new headquarters at Heron Road in the Belfast Harbour Estate.
