Safety is at the heart of everything we do and the successful operation of large plant and lifting equipment depends mainly on the continued safety of the equipment and accessories used.
Malfunctions in this equipment can lead to significant or even fatal injuries. Therefore health and safety law place a number of specific responsibilities on those providing, operating and using lifting equipment to correctly manage these risks.
At Balloo Hire we conduct mechanical testing and inspections on a wide range of equipment that helps keep our customers compliant with the requirements of LOLER and PUWER legislation. Using specialist horizontal, vertical and hydraulic testing equipment mechanical testing will show if the equipment is suitable for its intended use and will only be carried out by “competent persons” as specified by HSE.
Our specialists can conduct a free site survey to assess your requirements from that we can then either provide a detailed register and on-going inspection schedule, or carry out work for you on an ad-hoc basis.
All lifting equipment must be subject to a thorough examination at periodic intervals:
In addition to lifting equipment, we can carry out thorough examinations on a wide range of mechanical plant and conduct electrical testing such as PAT testing.
